Nínim's

My name is Linnea Höglund and I live in Västerås, Sweden. From 2015 I have the cattery name SE*Nínim's registered in FIFe. The word Nínim is elvish, from the language in Lord of The Rings, and mean snowdrop, the little white flower.

SE*Nínim's is a small cattery with about 2-4 litters a year. All my cats are loved family members.

My males never live at my home, I believe it's better for them to live alone without females. I've been lucky to have such amazing homes for them with friends of me during the years.

My plan is to breed healthy and beautiful cats in the colours blue, lilac and white. We test all our breeding cats for HCM and PKD.

Cats have always been a huge part of my life. My mother has bred british shorthair since 1983 with the cattery name Suncat's so I came in touch with the world of cats and cat shows from an early age. It has been so much fun to share this passion with my mother and today she is my biggest supporter and closest companion. We own several males together and help each other in our breeding programs.

Apart from just showing I often work as a steward for the judges when we go to shows. From December 2016 I'm also a student judge in FIFe for category 3 and 4.

The love for the breed and especially showing began the year I was 12 with a special cat, IC Suncat's One Wish, "Amy". She was my first cat that I showed by my self, and we were the best team. The way she showed her self on the table made all the judges melt. As an adult she was showed 5 times with 3 BIS and 1 NOM. Sadly, she is no longer with us but she lives on in my mothers lines.

At the same time I saw my first white British Shorthair. I love the bicolours my mother breed, but this cat stole my heart. At that time I could never guess that I would take 8 years until I got my very own white British Shorthair.  And now we are finally there. In the end of 2015 I brought home my first girl to start my white breeding.  My first litter with white was born in November 2016 and now I have my third generation of white females in my house. And I hope the future will bring many more!
